The case for a hidden monogram

A monogram doesn't have to announce itself. It can sit on the inside of a garment, somewhere the person wearing it knows it's there. The pleasure may be in the decision to add it, not in the number of people who notice. The same goes for a photograph you decide not to publish. Some details are for the people who were there. Personalisation is strange that way. You can pay more attention to something precisely because almost nobody else will see it.
