Once is a story. Twice is a decision.
From From the Threads, a Club column. About this column ↗
The first time can be treated as an exception. A one-off, a particular evening, something curious that happened.
The second invitation asks a different question.
Is this becoming part of our lives? Do we like the same things we liked before? What if only one person wants a repeat?
In the archive, discussions frequently move between imagining a first experience and what happens once there's a real person involved. That change of scale matters more than any neat relationship label.
"Would you do it again?" sounds simple.
But who is asking? The couple? The guest? The partner who had the most fun?
A useful answer might be "Not yet." There's a lot of room between yes and never.
Research note: Based on keyword analysis of a self-selected adult forum archive. Threads may contain fiction, and terms can appear in multiple discussions. These counts are not a survey of couples. How the archive was used ↗
