Stop fixing every crooked horizon

A slightly tilted photograph makes some people reach for the straighten tool before they've looked at anything else. Sometimes they're right. The tilt distracts. Sometimes the camera moved because the person did. Straighten it and you've made a perfectly level photograph with less life in it. Try making two versions. Put them away for a day. See which one you want to look at again. Editing is a decision, not an obligation to remove every trace of the person behind the camera.
