F—Lab Editorial
Before You Share the Photo
Being photographed and being published are different things.
An image can be spontaneous and beautiful, yet still be something its subject never wanted strangers to see.
Consent to a photograph does not automatically mean consent to post it. Consent to post it today does not justify putting it somewhere else next month. Ask before sharing. Ask again if the audience or context changes.
A useful rule
If someone can be recognized, photographed intimately, or linked to a personal story, get their clear permission. If you're unsure, keep it private.
That is why F-Lab separates private games, personal profiles and public media. They should never become the same thing by accident.
